  1. This is so cute! Exactly what our cat, Bama, does when she wants me to get up because she is out of food or water.

You are very talented! The gourd doll is amazing! Love that!

To answer your question about the gesso, I am embarassed to say that I used it primarily for the clouds because it was sitting right there in front of me and the paint was not! But, we'll say that I instinctively used it because my subconscious is smarter than my conscious mind and knew it would give the clouds a little texture. I'm not a trained artist, but I've used it a lot for a primer for pages, canvas, or even on wood surfaces as it does give "tooth" to grab paint and texture if you apply it that way. Have stamped with it sometimes with the foam stamps for a raised design. The page I did that I used for a picture a few days ago (with the little boy and girl) had that technique on it. Took a border stamp and used the gesso over a painted background. Then added a few more washes of paint(I think) for more layers of color. Like I said I'm not a professional artist. I mostly play around with techniques I read about or just experiment.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your sweet comments about my Valentine cards.
