Baby Nuthatch

Is this sweet or what?!

Hubby and I have been watching Nora and Norm Nuthatch manically maneuver in and out of a bird house we mounted on an ash tree in our yard years ago and until this year, interested none of our feathered friends!
Ah-ha!  Babies!  And isn't this one *sweet*?!

And "momma" feeding little Noel...

"Dad" was just out of camera range on the left!  Wow!  They are good parents!

Worldwide Water/Whale Wave Meditation

I was happy to join in this wonderful worldwide effort to focus on the restoration of the earth's waters at a beautiful lake near my home.
The first image combines a view of the lake with a carved whale tail super-imposed...  A beautiful piece that represents balance and harmony...

The water table was high and there were plenty of turtles and fish.
I looked into an old barn and found that the swallows were building their mud nests in the old beams...

It was an incredibly beautiful day!  Perfect for a meditation on the restoration of God's waters, the whales, and all living creatures...

From My Studio Window

With all of the snow, the deer are quite hungry and have been coming close to the house and eating the holly.  I haven't been able to photographed them in the backyard, but they have been raiding the birdfeeders and eating the azaleas at night!  What to do?  "Buy deer food Honey!" :)  So we picked up a bag of cracked corn for the little herd!
