Christmas 2011 Thoughts
Our Christmas was quiet and sad this year for we had an unexpected loss in our family... My husband's mother quietly slipped away a few days before Christmas... It was a shock because she had been relatively healthy... We are still trying to comprehend her passing... We miss her dearly...

One World One Heart
This year I am giving my latest Cross Stitch book, The Best of Terrie Lee Steinmeyer, to the lucky person who visits my blog, leaves a message and... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!... who my furchildren and love birds choose from a random drawing of names! Actually, "the kids" won't be choosing this year. They squabble too much! ;) I will be using a random number generator to pick the winner! A little less personal, but probably more efficient!
Please remember, you must leave a comment on this post, there must be a way for me to contact you (you want to win, don't you!), and you need to have a blog! It's that easy! :) Finally, the winner will be announced on my blog, February 15th! Good luck to all! :)
Here is a picture of my book!
It is 112 pages and 140+ designs! I'm not one to toot my own horn, but Leisure Arts did a very nice job collecting some of my favorite designs. Whomever "wins" it, I hope will like it and make some of the cross stitch designs! There is everything from Baby to Christmas to Halloween! Well you get the picture! Good luck to all! I'm off to ride the carpet and visit all of the other participating blogs!Cheers!
Terrielee :)

Amazing Tatting!
I was in the gift shop of one of our local retirement communities when I discovered some ornaments that were tatted by a resident. The tatting is beautiful, but the amazing thing is that the woman who tatted the ornaments, Ella Ruth, will be 100 years old this year!
Now... where did I put my tatting shuttle???!!!

The Best of Terrie Lee Steinmeyer
A wonderful surprise came in yesterday's mail! My latest book with Leisure Arts, The Best of Terrie Lee Steinmeyer! Here is what Amazon.com has to say about it:
"With a special talent for festive holiday designs, Terrie Lee Steinmeyer has provided cross stitchers with years of enjoyment. This big book of her best designs includes a wide range of themes and styles, as well as sizes from small to large. There are benevolent Santas, happy Halloween goblins, cute bunnies, and a sweet Cupid, as well as precious baby bibs, poignant samplers, reverent Inspirational designs, tributes for teachers, magical carousel horses, and sporty hand towels. There are even alphabets for kids and mini designs that make cheery Christmas ornaments."

Hawaii, Home, Christmas & a Win!
The last few weeks have been a wonderful whirlwind! I returned from Marilyn's *incredible* retreat at Kawella Bay, won first place in a Halloween competition with My Wittle Witchie on the Moon, and created a Christmas card from a sculpture and watercolor painting that I had made! Wow! What a fun November!
If you are interested, the card (as well as matching postage stamps) can be ordered from Zazzle.com for the Holidays.
